Energy Averages
What is the typical monthly energy usage?
For use with the MyFutureplanet Personal Carbon Footprint Calculator:
It is better to look at your utility bills to determine your specific energy usage as it will be dependent on a number of different factors. ย These factors will include insulation in your home, the light fitments you use, your preferred ambient temperature, whether you have double-glazing on your windows, if you leave the lights on, and whether you’re disciplined enough to switch off all those unused electronic devices every night before you go to sleep.
To determine your personal carbon footprint you will need your own specific data (it’s on your bill). ย But in the meantime, here is some average data that you might want to use – that is, if you consider yourself to be average ๐
