The Future Planet Sustainable Business Health Check is a free, expert-led diagnostic that will show you where your business currently is today, and provide a pathway of what you need to do next.

The Health Check is a quick diagnostic, assessing your business across six areas of sustainable business practice, and scoring you against our five-stage maturity model:

  • Launch: Your journey is starting or about to start, with initial policies, processes, and ownership being defined.
  • Build: Core capabilities are being developed, with early frameworks, plans, data, and responsibilities taking shape.
  • Scale: Successful approaches are being expanded across the business with repeatable ways of working.

We select a cohort of businesses each quarter and pair each one with a designated ESG expert for a facilitated maturity analysis.

You’ll work with one of our ESG experts through a facilitated maturity analysis across six critical areas of business sustainability, shining a spotlight on your mission-critical questions:

  1. Strategy: Is your sustainability strategy driving business decisions and aligned with the business objectives, or is it a slide in the annual report?
  2. GHG Emissions Data: How complete is your GHG inventory? Does your carbon footprint provide the insight you need to make decisions on cost-effective decarbonisation intiatives?
  3. ESG Reporting: Is your report aligned with best practice standards and regulations such as CSRD/ESRS? Does your report provide the information your key stakeholders, including customers, banks and insurers, need?
  4. Transition Plans: Do you have a credible, resourced path to low-carbon, or just a target with no plan behind it? Do you know which levers you can pull to improve efficiency and performance across your key ESG metrics?
  5. Knowledge & Skills: Do you rely on external resources, or can your team deliver on your plans, creating economic value and positive impact?
  6. Value Chain: Are you ready to meet your customers’ ESG requirements to retain contracts, and do you know whether your supply chain is resilient enough to keep delivering for your customers?

 

At the end, you’ll get a clear score across the maturity curve, a picture of your strengths and gaps across all six areas, and, most importantly, a roadmap for what’s next, so you know exactly where to focus first and what it will take to move forward.
